In keeping with the French theme, the Sunday Night Movies in Basin Spring Park featured An American in Paris. The evening started with…Music in the Park with Fine Art of Romance “Cigarette Girls” offering goodies from Peace Love and Cheesecake. The evening’s featured artist is Larry Mankser, and his work will be the feature prior to the film. The Bed and Breakfast Inns of Eureka Springs participated by serving French themed breakfasts, afternoon refreshments and/or desserts. The Angel at Rose Hall featured "French Toast."
Larry Mansker is the featured artist and the film is An American in Paris in support of the Fleur Delicious Festival – a French flavored weekend in Eureka Springs.
Larry Mansker is one of the many treasured Eureka Springs artists. Larry work is vast and his style spans from traditional images to modern abstract pieces, we are so blessed to have Larry and his collects fill the galleries here in Eureka Springs.
An American in Paris directed ny Vincent Minnelli, one of my favorite film. Staring Gene Kelly and Leslie Caron Gene Kelly does his patented Pal Joey bit as Jerry Mulligan, an opportunistic American painter living in Paris' "starving artists" colony. He is discovered by wealthy Milo Roberts (Nina Foch), who becomes Jerry's patroness in more ways
An American in Paris is a symphonic tone poem by the American composer George Gershwin, written in 1928. Inspired by the time Gershwin had spent in Paris.
