Eureka Springs host Blue Festival

More than 30 acts will visit the town for its annual Blues Weekend, which begins Thursday (May 31) and continues through June 3.
Included on this year’s roster are performers such as Tommy Castro, Ruthie Foster and many more. One artist who won’t be present is Michael Burks, who passed away suddenly early this month.
Burks and his band were booked to perform in Eureka. Instead, Burks’ band will perform and guests artists will join in a jam session.

Shows take place in many venues, including The Auditorium, Basin Park Hotel’s Barefoot Ballroom and Basin Spring Park. Many local venues and clubs will offer blues bands as well.
Some shows are free (like those in the park), but headlining shows are $20-$30. For ticket information, visit the festival’s website.
