Keels Creek Winery in Eureka Springs

Over the years Bob and I have referred many of our guests to a local winery called Keels Creeks. Many guest have returned with great reviews, with that in mind Bob and I decided it was time for our on tour and visit. When we arrived we entered in thru the Spanish-style building that is shared with Keels Creek Art Gallery. The spaciousness allows an open feel for the art where viewers can relax in the wing-back chairs by the two massive stone fireplaces. The Vineyards are located in the Hills of Keels Creek, down Rock House Road about 3 miles from the city limits of Eureka Springs. The ten acres of their land which was initially planted in 2004 and 2005 now contains over 10 varieties of grape. The winery production began Fall of 2006. Dr. Hausler had worked with local vineyards to be able to make approximately 1800 gallons of wine in 2006. Their intent is to stay small as a boutique winery focused on local grapes harvested from our vineyard and 3 other local vineyards.During our visit we sampled several different wine, I prefer dry red, Bob a sweeter red, we both found several wines that I would describe as rather nice. When planning your Eureka Springs vacation give the Angel at Rose Hall a call, your Eureka Springs Bed and Breakfast and your Eureka Springs Wedding Chapel, the best place for Eureka Springs Lodging and Eureka Springs Weddings.
