Blue Festival set for this week in Eureka Springs

Back by popular demand the Eureka Springs Blue Festival is set to begin June 2, 2011. As promised new act and bright new artist as well as veterans promise to entertain. If you like Blue you will not want to miss this weekend.
Offical kickoff begins June 2, featuring Jones van Jones, Buddy Shute, and Isayah’s All Stars singin the blues in the open air of historic Basin Spring Park. Thursday night, Little Joe McLerran headlines in the famous Barefoot Ballroom of the 1905 Basin Park Hotel and the music continues all weekend at venues located throughout downtown Eureka Springs. Headliners performing include Coco Montoya on Friday, Elvin Bishop Saturday, and many other featured artists like Rosie Ledet, Tinsley Ellis, Lionel Young Band, Scott Leeper.
Small venues throughout Eureka Springs will also feature great blues acts from around the region and of course…free blues music is waiting for you in Basin Spring Park every afternoon. Special kid-oriented shows start the day on Friday and Saturday, including a harmonica workshop on Saturday at noon. If your kid is one of the first fifty to join the fun, they could win an authentic Hohner harmonica.

The Angel at Rose Hall, a Eureka Springs Bed and Breakfast and Eureka Springs Weddings Chapel is located in the heart of the historic district , a short walk from the center of town.
