It is believed Saint Valentines secretly married couples against the orders of the Empoer was believed that unmarried men made better solders.

The first box of candy was presented by Richard Cadbury in 1868.
Oldest valentines dated to back to 1400 century Charles, duke of Orleans, sent it to his wife while he was imprisoned in the Tower of London. Love note exchanged on February 14th began in 17th century England.
Where did kissing begin? Originally believed that early man feed their babies by passing food to from mouth to mouth. First on screen kiss, 1896 featured in the movie The Kiss, featured John C. Rice and May Irwin.
