Stop Food Cravings

 
I started this new year with the goal to limit my intake of unhealthy foods and snacks.  Developing a better understanding as to why we crave foods, in hopefully help and lead to better food choices.
 
First and most importantly, do not buy junk food. Those foods that contain a high percentage of fat, sugar,carbs and salts.  Be a bit careful when making these food purchases in your grocery store.
 
Try to eat well balanced meals. Yes, and that mean start with Breakfast. We here at the Angel at Rose Hall,Eureka Springs Bed and Breakfast, try very hard to create well balanced meals. Those who have stayed with us , will attest that our breakfast are so filling , most guests ate an early dinner. The point is eat 3 meals a day and healthy snacks in between.
 
Don't eat unhealthy food if you are emotionally unset.  Our brains are wired so if we are upset, placing something in your mouth is emotional satisfying.  So catch your self. It is very easy to begin to link food to unhappiness. Most foods are emotionally driven.
 
Get a good nights sleep.  Believe it or not, individuals that are sleep deprived actually tend to be over weight and tend to be emotional eater. Stick to your guns and get 7 to 8 hours of sleep.
