October is the perfect time to visit Eureka Springs and hike the surrounding area.
There are miles of natural hiking paths to explore in the Beautiful Eureka Springs area. Eureka Springs Lake Leatherwood is a Nature Park of 1600 acres, built in the 1940’s, and kept as natural as possible. Motor vehicles are allowed only as far as the Boathouse, but hikers, explorers, and fat-tire bikers can chose from many marked trails. Eureka Springs Beaver Lake and Eureka Springs Black Bass Lake are two other public hiking areas in the Eureka Springs area. Roaring River State Park, Hobbs State Park, Withrow Springs State Park and Mark Twain National Forest, all have public marked trails and are within 30 minutes drive time.
