Eureka Springs "Dozen Distinctive Destinations."
One of Arkansas's most eccentric towns, Eureka Springs, which is nestled in the Ozark Mountains, has been named one of the National Trust for Historic Preservation's "Dozen Distinctive Destinations." The winding streets of its downtown district are filled with unusual shops, art galleries, a wide array of restaurants and bars that feature live music - particularly jazz and blues – as part of the Eureka Springs nightlife. The city is also well known for its jazz, blues and bluegrass festivals, but live music events are not the only Eureka Springs activities to do after dark. There are music/comedy shows, and the Great Passion Play, which depicts Jesus Christ's last days on earth, is the most-attended outdoor drama in the United States. We here at Angel at Rose Hall are just a short walk from the down town area. Walk to the many local waterholes and walk or take a taxi back.
