2010 Eureka Springs Fat Tire Festival, July 16-18th

Adventure Subaru and Progressive Trail Design again are proud to present the 2010 Eureka Springs Fat Tire Festival, July 16-18th. This years’ festival will be host to several new competitive and non-competitive events as well as all of the “Fatty Fest’s” favorite staples.

Kicking it off Friday afternoon as always will be the “Phat Tire Short Track”. We will return to our new course venue at Achord’s MX track for what was and will be the most exciting mountain biking racing, period. NEW events this year include a Children’s race. The flat smooth track is perfect for kids of all ages. Also we will cater to our folly side with a two-lap cruiser race featuring prizes for best costume and decorated bike: Single speeds only.
As always, Saturday will be anchored by our Observed Trials event at Harmon Park and a myriad of non-competitive fun rides. NEW on the schedule is a trail ride at the new Pension Mountain Trails at Johnson Spring Preserve. These City of Berryville Trails feature 4 miles of single track and 6 miles of double track custom built by mountain bikers: Awesome terrain and incredible scenery. We are excited to see the return of the “PTD Downhill” on Lake Leatherwood’s Downhill Challenge Trail. With a year of packing it promises to be broke in and blazing fast. Also NEW this year, Saturday night’s registration will return to the Inn of the Ozarks for a pool party. This venue is super kid friendly and has great parking ops, a pavilion and a mini-golf course. Bring your trunks and bikini.
By popular demand this year we are expanding the Omni class, providing our prestigious open Omni and a NEW Mini Me Omni (say that 10 times fast). The MMO is for CAT II and CAT III riders only. No CAT I points allowed. We will close everything down Sunday with the “Race to the Lake” and our final awards ceremony at Lake Leatherwood City Park. Music food and great trails beckon at the finish line. Check out the latest Subarus, soak up the sun, take a dip in the lake and “Be Fatty”.
