Pea Ridge National Military, near Eureka Springs Arkansas

For those interested in history or the Civil War you will be close to Pea Ridge National Military Park. It has a visitor center and a museum. You take a self guided driving tour and stop at different points of interest to learn about the largest Civil War battle to take place in the West.
The road is large and safe enough for those who wish to bring their bikes. The self guided route includes marker, maps and structures.
A park volunteers provides candid and interesting tales of the events that took places on the sacred grounds.
Marked by a sign, part of the park share the The Trail of Tears (Trail of relocation and movement of Native Americans, including many members of the Cherokee, Creek, Seminole, and Choctaw nations among others in the United States, from their homelands to Indian Territory (present day Oklahoma) in the Western United States)
Bob and I and our daughter payed a visit 2 years ago. Worth the visit.

Directions: U.S. 62 West of Eureka Springs. I think it took us about half an hour to drive there from Eureka Springs.
