Each year the wildlife center puts on a great 4th of July celebration and this year will not disappoint.
Sunday, July 4, 2010 Our Chamber of Commerce released the following:
Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge, located 7 miles south of Eureka Springs, Arkansas, on Scenic Highway 23, will again host its popular Fourth of July Fireworks Extravaganza on Sunday, July 4, 2010, on the main plateau at the Refuge, from 7:30 p.m. - Midnight.
For those who wish to visit the Big Cats, the Refuge is open from 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., including guided Habitat Tours hourly from 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., with feeding at 5:00 p.m. Normal admission prices apply: $15.00 adult(s); $10.00 seniors, veterans, children 4-12; children 3 and under free of charge – pass is good for the entire day.
Independence Day festivities are FREE for the entire family, and will include live music as well as the fireworks display.
Fireworks start at dusk.
Concessions will be available. Visitors are asked to bring lawn chairs and blankets.
Legally shoot off fireworks – visitors may bring their own, or purchase fireworks on site.
As fireworks are illegal within the city limits, the ‘orchestrated chaos’ at Turpentine Creek is sure to be a fun-filled event for the entire family on Independence Day, 2010. All are invited to join in the fun!
