Blues Weekend Headliners

Blues legend Koko Taylor will perform on Thursday night at the auditorium with her band the Blues Machine. Acoustic blues guitarist Rory Block will perform at the auditorium on Friday night, opening for Native American bluesman Indigenous. Also on Friday night, Phil Berkowitz and The Sean Carney Band will perform a 100th birthday tribute to Arkansas blues legend Louis Jordan.
Austin, Texas blues diva LZ Love and Baton Rouge blues guitarist Larry Garner will perform at the Barefoot Ballroom on Friday night. On Saturday night, the Barefoot Ballroom will host Ruf Records artist, guitarist Deborah Coleman, along with Arkansas' own, guitarist Michael Burks, an acclaimed Alligator Records artist. A number of other regional and national blues musicians will also be performing at local venues over the weekend, including:

Trampled Under Foot
Opening for Koko Taylor on Thursday night, Trampled Under Foot is the 2008 International Blues Challenge winner. The blues trio beat out 98 other bands from around the world at The Blues Foundation's annual battle of the bands held each February in Memphis.
Featuring powerhouse vocalist Danielle Schnebelen, and her two brothers, guitarist Nick and drummer Kris, Trampled Under Foot is ready to bust out of Kansas City and take the blues world by surprise! Nick Schnebelen also won the Challenge's 2008 Albert King Award for Most Promising Guitarist.
Blues In The Basin
The Eureka Springs Blues Weekend also offers plenty of free music for blues fans to enjoy in the city's Basin Park bandshell, featuring a total of eighteen shows on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Delta Highway, the Ariels, and Kozmik Deebriz will be anchoring each day's events; among the other artists appearing in the park:
